When becoming a member of the SMA, members take the following SMA Membership Commitment.
- We support the mission of the SMA: To facilitate the transition to sustainable sports and tourism in the mountain environment.
- We support the vision of the SMA: To provide a collaborative platform that identifies and supports inspirational, innovative solutions and a regenerative economy in the mountains, the most sensitive environment to climate change.
- We commit to protect the mountain environment and support regenerative solutions.
- We commit to promoting greater environmental responsibility that protects the mountain environment, and the cultural and natural heritage within those regions.
- We commit to sustainable and socially responsible consumption that supports local mountain populations (food and products bought locally, in season, using local products etc.).
- We commit to advocating for mountain protection through communication.
